Huxlow’s first Christmas Fair a festastic success
Huxlow held their first ever Christmas Fair on Friday 8 December. Our very talented school choir and ukulele group performed festive songs throughout the evening, joined by all Year 7 and 8 students. Also in the Hall was the Christmas themed café, selling non-alcoholic mulled wine, hot chocolate, tea, coffee and squash along with fresh crepes, mince pies, cakes, biscuits and clementines.
Over in the Sports Hall, teachers from every department had designed their own Christmas themed stalls and sideshows, including Santa's sleigh ride, Santa's steady hand, Lucky Dip, Around the World and Prime Balloon Time, along with crafts such as Pixlow, homemade sweets, homemade Christmas cards and decorations.
“What an amazing night that was and thank you to everyone who helped, performed, donated, ran a stall and attended. This was a festastic event, thanks to the whole Huxlow community and all the input behind the scenes by the elves. Thank you, thank you, thank you again, you were all brrrrr...illiant” said Mrs Letts, Head of Key Stage 4.
