A Warm Welcome to Huxlow

At Huxlow we believe that students who are happy, feel safe and are taught well will enjoy school and as a result be successful.

We are passionate about caring for our students, ensuring that they are all known as individuals. Ofsted June 2016 stated that “everyone in the school puts pupil’s well-being at the centre of everything they do”.

Students are challenged to be as good as they possibly can be and supported to achieve this. Academic success is hugely important to us and we have a rich history of students of all abilities and from a wide variety of backgrounds achieving as well as they could.

However, schools are about far more than academic success and we believe that developing “The Whole Child” is one of our core responsibilities. In order to enjoy a successful adult life it is important that our students develop characteristics such as leadership, organisation, resilience, initiative, and communication.

I am hugely proud of our school and am happy to extend an invitation to all Parents/ Carers to come and visit us during the school day. Please contact us on enquiries@huxlow.northants.sch.uk and we will arrange a convenient time.

Afternoon Tea and Tour of the School

A group of 6th form students have been selected to volunteer in Uganda.  They will be working with a charity who are commited to educating children in poverty.  This is an amazing opportunity for them and a life changing experience.  The students are all working very hard to raise funds for this project and as part of this fund raising hosted an Afternoon Tea and Tours event.

The event was open to everyone, old and new students.

Everyone who attended enjoyed the event ….

"I would like to say a very big thank you to the staff and pupils for the most enjoyable afternoon.  They went above and beyond their duties to make the afternoon memorable.  The girls were so welcoming and polite, and couldn't do enough for their guests.  The afternoon tea was excellent."

"I would like to thank the Huxlow School for their recent open dat, organized by Lorna Freeman.   I was delighted to support the team going to Uganda, and to see the school that I left in 1963.  I was on a flying visit to Finedon, I now live in Dubling, and my time was short but Lorna and two very able young ladies gave my family and myself a fast track tour.  Thank you very much to the three tour guides and indeed to all the organisers and support team for a great event.   You must be proud of your school.
