Character and Personal Development

Good character is the basis of human flourishing. At Huxlow Academy, we believe that the
Academic success of our students is important, but without character development this success is
limited. Our students must also learn how to develop as a person, how to be successful and how the
development of their character will help them to become well-rounded individuals, ready for the
wider world.

Huxlow Academy’s Personal Development programme allows for students to develop character
whilst also giving students opportunities and experiences outside of the classroom. The Personal
Development curriculum develops the following aspects of a Huxlow Students life –

 Enrichment opportunities including trips
 Student leadership
